I started my masonry career in 1984, during one of the booms of the housing market in New Jersey. I was very fortunate to have worked with Dickie Caras, one of our trade’s great craftsmen. Dickie Caras provided me with the tools and skills to become a true mason as he was. His greatest lesson for me was to do the job right the first time – a philosophy that I’ve used throughout my career. Dickie Caras left us entirely too soon, and I have dedicated my work and my business insigne to him. The trowel and hammer was tattooed on his forearm.
In 1986 I started Thurgood Masonry, and for over twenty years I’ve made every project important and brought a personal interest to all my clients’ masonry needs.
